Job Title: PostgreSQL DBA

Location: Boston, MA, Chicago, IL or Charlotte, NC

Job Description:  

• 8-10 years of experience in IT as a DBA
• Client is looking for consultants who have some exposure to PostgreSQL(it is more similar to Oracle than mysql)
• Need good SQL background and some automation work. (like a developer/architect mindset).
• Troubleshooting complex queries, execution plans, strong SQL Knowledge
• Performing development & production database administration with automated scripts for security & audits, export/import data.
• Ability to import, export data with ETL developers, Knowledge of one ETL tool preferred.
• Mandatory knowledge of Git , Merges & source control procedures.
• Strong scripting background (PowerShell / Shell etc.)
• Effective and Strong communication skills to engage with Security, Architecture & global teams
• Strong PostgreSQL administration skills + other databases on Unix Admin skills.
• Database administration skills on Azure Cloud is preferred.
